Caring Is In Our DNA

We love creating exceptional experiences for our team members, clients, and customers, and we couldn’t do it without our greater communities. This is why giving back to those around us is a top priority at Columbia Hospitality. Through philanthropic partnerships, charitable causes, and our own foundation, our team works to enhance the communities in which we operate.

Columbia Cares Program

Our Columbia Cares program encourages all of our team members to contribute to the world of charitable giving through direct involvement with organizations that change the community around them.

Every year, team members nominate local causes they would like to support and participate in events together, making teamwork and giving back the backbone of the Columbia Cares program.

Since we launched this program in 2015, our properties have partnered with more than 100 non-profit organizations by volunteering at shelters, park clean-ups, running food drives, developing meal programs, and more.

Columbia Hospitality Cares Foundation

The COVID-19 global pandemic was one of the most devastating events of all time on our beloved hospitality industry. Our entire company was affected, and we learned a lot along the way, particularly about humanity.

The Columbia Hospitality Cares Foundation was established in response to the pandemic to support our own impacted Columbia Hospitality team members. We launched the Foundation in just four days after the State of Washington issued its stay-at-home order, suddenly vacating many hospitality operations, including our own. Once the Fund was created, the donation page and assistance application were functional within just one week.

Beside contributions from Columbia Hospitality itself, the fund has received generous donations from fellow team members, portfolio property owners, other clients and vendors.

As funds continue to come in, we’ve been humbled to see the immediate outpouring of love and support from our fellow team members and clients as they rallied around one another facing hardships in their personal or professional lives.

Efforts are currently underway to expand the Fund's initial charter of pandemic relief to other difficulties causing team members sudden financial hardship as well as one-time professional development opportunities.

If you would like to support this amazing cause, have any questions, or would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please reach out to us at [email protected] or donate now at Columbia Hospitality Cares Foundation.
