Amy Cunningham, director of marketing and communications, has more than 15 years of experience advancing business operations and building brand awareness. Before joining Columbia Hospitality, she owned her own business and consulted with entrepreneurial companies as well as Deloitte Digital. She has held leadership roles with PitchBook Data, The Garrigan Lyman Group and Parker Remick. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Amy worked at Text 100, where she received the STAR award of excellence for her work in technology communications. While she worked with Schwartz Communications (now part of the MSL Group), launching some of the most successful IPOs in history, she was instrumental in new business recruitment and training of junior staff, launched the National Drive Against Prostate Cancer and was awarded the Public Relations Society of America Compass Award for the start-up launch of Route Science.
She has served as the president of the PRSA San Francisco chapter and as the nominating director for the Junior League of Seattle board. She currently serves as a docent for the Junior League's private art collection and was a part of the book launch The Art of Discovery, teaching children and adults about art. Amy spends her free time as a middle school speech coach, marathon runner, traveling with her family and volunteering for TEDxSeattle.
As the Director of Marketing and Communications for Columbia Hospitality, Amy's focus is driving revenue by empowering teams to deliver exceptional and memorable guest experiences aligned with each property's unique brand. Her strengths include brand positioning, corporate and crisis communications, event planning, media relations and sustainable strategy. Amy has a B.A. in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia.
